Just got back from a last minute getaway with my mommy and daddy...it was so fun! I got to play in this giant bathtub...so awesome! The only wierd thing was that my parents kept telling me not to poop! Anyway, take a look at the pictures and see you guys after Thanksgiving!!

My First Fall...

Hey everyone,

Its been a wild couple of months...after my mom finished her boards, we have done so much hanging out especially in the park! Where should I start?!?!? My first birthday party (and slide ride:) Halloween was so fun with my cousin Suri! Then my mom and dad took me pumpkin picking; it was so great to get out of the city for a couple hours! Then I had so much fun with my friend Heeva..she showed me all her toys. She is super cool...I hope when I walk I am as cool as she is:) Anyway, enjoy the pictures! I'll be helping my mom and dad get ready for my first THANKSGIVING (out of my mom's tummy:).

Hey Hey Hey...

Hey everyone...since returning from the beach, life has gotten pretty hectic. Between my dad's normal schedule and my mom's crazy study schedule, I just have not gotten a chance to touch base with you guys. Since we last spoke, I have started sitting and even said my first words..nothing original: Dada. I think my dad goes nuts everytime I say it...I don't think he understands that I don't really mean it in the sense that he is my father...its more like, it is the only thing my immature mouth muscles can coordinate to say. Either way, I get a lot of kisses for saying it so I'm not gonna start complaining:) Anyway, miss you guys and talk soon!

Beach Week!

Hey Everyone!! I just got back from "da shore" and it was sooooooooooooooooo FUN! Both my uncles were there and so were all my grandparents and even my GREAT grandmother!! It was so great to just get away from the daily grind and relax in my stroller on the beach. Check out the pictures...we missed you guys alot!

New York, New York...

Hey everyone! I just got back from a wild couple days in NYC! My parents' college friends were so cool and fun. After a long night out with their friends, I finally got to do what I wanted: FAO Schwartz! It was so fun and amazing!

Finally after a long day in Central Park, I got to visit my uncle Sarmad and auntie Anjella...it was such a great surprise to see them! Off to the beach for a week...talk when I get back!

Life's a Beach...

So this weekend I was able to experience the beautiful Jersey shore for the first time. Admist the many beach goers who ambitiously wore bathing suits probably better fitted for their children, the beauty of the beach and ocean shined through. My mom and dad's friends were so fun and they laughed so much. I think my dad was thirsty because he always was drinking something! Anyway, it was so fun. I can't wait to go back again! Thanks auntie Ilana!

Where in the World was I!?!?!

Hey Everyone!! I am so sorry for disappearing...between moving to a new apartment, my mom finishing her second year of medical school (and hogging the computer in the process-just kidding mommy, I'm so proud of you!), and then the computer breaking, its been impossible to keep in touch with my people. So I hope you all will forgive me and start checking up on me again.

So what have I been up to with the last half of my life? Hmm, where should I start? Well when you last saw me, I was celebrating Mother's Day. Since then, its been a wild ride with a disproportionate amount of U2 being played. Here are some highlights...

Well I have mastered holding my head up...

still have to work on doing my hair though:)

There have been plenty of cute outfits...and I have a feeling my mom has more fun than I do with all my wardrobe changes!

I've definitely spent alot of time in my rainforest...interestingly, the only precipitation that accumulates here is from my mouth-I'm teething!
And fun time with grandpa....who has since shaved!

And then I needed some beauty sleep...I can roll both ways,

but really reserve those skills for bedtime!

And even more laughing with my grandpa...

And there was even more sleeping...

And like many of you, I've been contemplating the economy,

healthcare, and environment

And I even got to go to my Uncle Sarmad and Auntie Anjella's engagement party...I think I passed out at like 9:30pm...too much dancing for me!

My cousins showed me all their toys and accidentally buried me in the process!

I've had so much quality time with my parents...so much time...like they smother me...like someone please tell them its unhealthy how much they squeeze me...I mean,I love them, but I think they are obsessed!
And last but far from least, I got the best present I have ever gotten in my whole life: a brand new cousin named Suri! She is so cute...I can't wait to play with her and teach her all the cool things I know how to do!

Happy Mother's Day Mommie!

I hope everyone is having a great day! This last week was so fun and filled with excitement. As some of you know, we're expecting a new cousin so last weekend I got to party with a bunch of kids my age at my Auntie Shabnam's baby shower...it was so cool just to touch base with them and see what they've been up to so far while in the world. My cousin Sina came from California for the shower, and I got to show him around Philly...he was very cool. Then in the middle of the week my grandparents from New York came and stayed with us, and when the weekend rolled around my Uncle Sarmad surprised me by coming! Finally today, I got to go to my Philly grandparents' house for mother's day and enjoy some of the weather! The only bad things this week were a trip to my doctor's office where she finally decided to attack, injecting me twice (once in each leg!) with her truth serum....needless to say, it is going to take alot more than two needles to make me divulge any of the sensitive information I hold.

My Shared Birthday...

Hey everyone...So as some of you may have calculated, last Thursday was 2 month birthday...yay! Anyway, I thought I was going to have another birthday party, but this time my parents invited Mr. Bird because it was his birthday too, but he had no friends to throw him a party. I am all for pooling resources, but this bird really scares me alot...with his high pitched voice and crazy songs...I think he is casting a spell on me! Anyway, in other news, I got to meet another baby this week..my cousin Sina! He is almost 6 months old, but he treats me like we are the same age which so cool. He is in town for my cousin's baby shower...should be a fun time! Well I am gonna catch up on beauty sleep. Please tell my dad to let me use the computer more so I can post more frequently!

Two weeks too long...

Hey everyone! The last two weeks have been exhausting. Between working on my head control, and getting out and enjoying the spring weather, I am pooped! My parents have been breaking out some of toys you generous people gave me...I got to be honest, some of them are scary! It is absolutely mind-blowing how many ways the alphabet can be sung: whether it is a jungle background or a crazy duck quacking the melody, the ABC's have gotten away from the basics! Anyway, I miss you guys and hope to see you guys soon. One more thing, I want to wish that my cousin Reza gets better real soon...my dad told me he is a really funny guy, and I can't wait to meet him.

One Crazy Weekend!

Hey everyone! So as I promised, I will give you a run down of my crazy week. So it started with an agonizing 5 HOUR car ride to a place my dad refers to as "po'town." I think my parents lost their minds on the way there...they started singing (butchering in reality) Queen's classic Bohemian Rhapsody, I think to calm me down...meanwhile all I wanted was a little food:) As you can see in the picture, I got some quality time with my GREAT grandmother...we can only hope that we all look that young when we are great grandparents! Last but definitely not least, on Sunday I met someone who looked like a bigger version of myself, her name was Della. This experience was mostly cool, except I think at one point she tried to eat me! JUST KIDDING DELLA! She was able to do cool things like hold her head up and sit on her own. I was also jealous that she got to eat more than milk...mom and dad said I would do all those things very very soon. Anyway love you and miss you everyone!

Happy One Month...to ME!

Well its been a whole month since departing my mom's tummy...all in all I can't complain. I actually got choked up earlier about how great it has been (this also could have been due to the breast milk...I tend to get emotional when I drink too much:). While my dad searched endlessly for a reason behind my frustration, I just reflected on all the love coming my way since arriving. From my parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts (both real ones and the ones my parents tell me to call "aunt" or "uncle"), people have been so amazing. I know my parents won't stop talking about how much they appreciate all the gifts and help. It really gets me excited for the next month! Love you guys...time for bed!

8 lbs...

Hey gang...long time no blog! Sorry for my tardiness, but I have been out celebrating since finding out that I have not only surpassed my birth weight, but even hit the mighty 8lb mark! On top of that, my grandparents from New York and great grandfather came and took care of me on Wednesday and my Philadelphia grandparents threw me a meet and greet with some of my parents friends last night...needless to say, I've been staying busy. My dad is getting ready to go back to work this week:( and my mom is gearing up for her next exam:(...I am getting the feeling that my parents might be nerds:) Can you guys give me a heads up if this is true? Anyway, I promise to be better at posting more often.

A Final Reminder...

Hey gang! Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday...I was sort of down. You see I departed with the final reminder of my 9 month vacation in my mom's tummy...I lost my umbilical cord (the literal one; it will be years until we see if the figurative one remains attached). Anyway, I took sometime to reflect on this noteworthy event. When I woke this morning, I felt so independent...I felt like I could honestly conquer the world (as long as someone took care of feeding me and managed my bowel movements). Tonight I am gonna take my first bath; if last week's shampooing was a preview, I should get a great night's sleep. See you guys later!

Fun Weekend!

Hey everyone! I hope you guys are all recovering from a fun weekend...we were so busy. On Friday night, my grandparents and cousins came over which was so fun. On Saturday I took my first walk across the Walnut Street bridge...it was sort of scary but at least it was a small one. Then I got a chance to meet some of parent's close friends...they were all so nice, especially Aunt Assal: she brought cupcakes from Magnolia! My Uncle Pooyan and Auntie Shabnam also dropped in on the pizza party Sunday afternoon. Got to be honest with you, I am sort of pooped. Talk soon...Nava
